Grief as Gateway to Soul

"Grief work is soul work. Grief tending is the cutting edge of soul activism." — Francis Weller

About this workshop

How do we carve out space amidst the overwhelm of life's requirements to slow down and feel deeply enough to access the caverns of our hearts? How will anything change if we don't?

We see everywhere the evidence of generational trauma repeating itself. The breakneck pace of modernity demands that we numb out to keep going. To interrupt the cycles of insanity, we are learning to pause and practice the sacred art of grief tending. To access the gold of our souls, we must.

Come tend with us, friends — your personal grief and that of our collective. Let's remember the wisdom that lives in our bodies and connects us to the soul of the world.

What we'll explore

In this three-hour + 30-minute workshop, we will:

  • Invite our voices to open the path to our heart through Song

  • Anchor a practical skillset of embodied space holding

  • Practice sacred witness as a key component of building relational safety

  • Explore each of Francis Weller's Five Gates of Grief through interactive processes

  • Create beauty through a simple, repeatable ritual

Each time we practice together we build skill. Each time we tend our own grief, we tend the heart of the world. May this time of tender listening and honoring our sorrow reignite the passion of our souls and awaken an outpouring of love for the world.
